How We Keep Your Goods Safe
Packing, loading and handling that protects your belongings from start to finish.
Most of the damage in transport can be avoided with proper packing and loading, and this is where we put our greatest effort. Before the truck reaches your door, our team prepares the right material for your goods: strong cartons for books and kitchen items, bubble wrap and foam for glass and electronics, stretch film and covers for furniture and mattresses, and corner guards for tables and cabinets.
During loading, heavy items such as wardrobes, refrigerators and machines are placed at the bottom and against the front wall of the truck, boxes are stacked in even layers with fragile cartons on top, and every item is tied or wedged so that it cannot slide or fall on bends, bumps and sudden braking. A list of the goods is prepared at the time of loading, so that you can check them against the list at the time of delivery.
For long-distance consignments we use extra cushioning, because goods face many hours of vibration on the road. For vehicles, we inspect the car or bike with you at loading, fix it securely, and check it again with you at delivery.
- Proper material. Cartons, bubble wrap, foam, stretch film, corner guards and strong tape are used for every job.
- Dismantling and wrapping. Beds, wardrobes and tables are dismantled where needed, wrapped, and the fittings are kept in labelled bags.
- Planned loading. The load is arranged for balance and safety, not just to fit as much as possible in the truck.
- Labels and lists. Every box is labelled by room and numbered, which makes unloading faster and checking easier.
- Protection for buildings. Lift walls, doors and staircases are protected, because we respect your society's property as well as your own.
