Right vehicle for the job
The size of the vehicle depends upon the size of the home, and also upon the width of the lane and the entrance of the society. A one-room or one-bedroom flat can usually be moved in a small tempo or a mini truck, a two or three bedroom home normally needs a larger truck, and a bungalow with heavy furniture may need a big vehicle or two trips. Where the lane is narrow or the vehicle cannot reach the door, we may use a smaller vehicle to carry the goods from the building to the main truck, so that nothing is carried over a long distance by hand.

Choosing the date and time
The last days of the month, the first week of the month and weekends are the busiest days for shifting in Pune, because most rent agreements start and end at those times. If your date is flexible, a weekday in the middle of the month is easier to book and less crowded, and the lifts and parking in your society are usually available more easily. For a weekend or month-end move, please book a few days in advance, because good teams and vehicles are taken quickly. Early morning is the best time to start, since it avoids the traffic and leaves enough time to finish the unloading and setup in daylight.
Society rules in Pune
Most societies in Pune ask for permission for shifting, allow it only during fixed hours, and may ask the tenant or the owner to deposit a small amount. Please take the permission from your society office at both the old and the new address before the day of the move, and let us know the allowed timings, the lift booking and the place where the truck can park. This one step prevents the biggest cause of delays on the day of a local move.
