Why packing decides the safety of your goods
Most of the damage that happens during a move does not come from the journey itself but from weak or careless packing. When items are not wrapped properly, they rub against each other, shake inside the boxes, and get crushed under heavier things, and by the time they reach the new home a glass is broken, a table is scratched or a television screen is damaged. Good packing is therefore the cheapest insurance you can buy for your belongings. Our trained packers pack item by item, using the right material for each type of goods, and they know from experience how much cushioning each thing needs.
Packing material we use
The quality of material matters as much as the skill of the packer. We use strong cartons of different sizes, so that heavy items such as books go in small cartons and light items such as clothes go in large cartons, and we do not use weak boxes that collapse under weight.
- Strong corrugated cartons of different sizes, including special cartons for plates and glasses
- Bubble wrap and foam sheets for fragile items, screens and decor
- Stretch film and plastic covers for furniture, sofas and mattresses
- Corner guards for tables, cabinets and glass tops
- Strong packing tape, markers and labels for numbering and identifying every carton
How different items are packed
Kitchen items and crockery
Plates, glasses, cups and bowls are wrapped one by one in paper or bubble wrap and packed upright in small, strong cartons, with extra padding at the top and the bottom. Empty spaces are filled so that nothing can move inside, and the carton is marked as fragile on all sides. Masala boxes, oil bottles and other liquids are sealed and kept separately so that they cannot spill on other things.
Electronics and appliances
Televisions, computers, music systems and small appliances are packed with thick cushioning on all sides. If you still have the original box and foam of the item, we suggest using it, as it is designed for the item. Cables, remotes and accessories are kept together in a bag and marked with the name of the device, which makes the setup in the new home quick and easy.
Furniture
Wooden furniture is wrapped with foam and plastic to protect the surface from scratches and moisture. Beds, wardrobes, dining tables and other large pieces are dismantled where needed, and the screws and fittings are kept in labelled bags that are attached to the furniture itself, so that nothing is lost and the reassembly is simple.
Clothes and bedding
Clothes can be packed in cartons or in special wardrobe boxes that allow hanging clothes to travel without creasing. Bedding, towels, pillows and other soft items are also used as filling for the gaps in other cartons, which saves space and gives additional protection to fragile goods.
Books, files and decor
Books and files are packed in small cartons so that they do not become too heavy to carry. Photo frames, mirrors, paintings and decor pieces are packed separately with proper padding, and large glass items are given special protection with cardboard and corner guards.
Labels and inventory
Every carton is labelled with the room name and a number, and a list of the cartons and the main items is prepared. This list helps in two ways. It makes unloading faster, because the workers know in which room each carton belongs, and it lets you check that everything has arrived at the end of the move.
Unpacking at the new place
A move is not complete until your home looks like a home again. On request, our team unpacks the cartons at the new place, puts the items in the rooms or kitchen shelves as you direct, refits the furniture and takes away the empty cartons and waste material, so that you do not have to spend the first week living in boxes. Please tell us when you book if you need this service so that the right number of people is sent.

Packing is a part of our home shifting and office shifting services, and you can also book it separately if you plan to arrange the truck yourself or are sending goods with us as a part truck load. Packing for storage with our warehousing service is also available.
