When do you need warehousing?
In real life, moves rarely happen in a perfect sequence. The old home may have to be vacated on the first of the month while the new one will be ready only some days or weeks later, the new flat may be too small for all your furniture, or a business may have stock that has to wait at a safe place before it is dispatched to customers in other cities. In every such situation your goods need a clean, dry and secure place where they can stay without damage, and where they can be loaded again when you are ready. Our warehousing service provides exactly this, along with loading, unloading and handling by trained people, so you do not need to arrange these things from different sources.

When goods are brought to us, the first step is to prepare a written list of every item and carton, and to note the condition of valuable items, so that both of us have the same record. Furniture is covered with protective sheets against dust and scratches, cartons are stacked in even layers with heavy ones at the bottom, and fragile items are kept at a place where nothing heavy can fall on them. The goods remain in your name and you can ask us about them whenever you wish, and when you are ready, we bring them out, check them against the list and load them for delivery to your new address in Pune or in another city.

Storage costs depend on the quantity of goods, the type of space needed and the period of storage, so the more precisely you describe your needs, the more accurately we can quote. If you are not sure how much space you need, tell us the size of your home and the main items, and we will estimate it.

Tips before you store your goods
Clean and dry every item before packing, because moisture is the most common cause of damage in storage. Empty and dry the fridge and washing machine fully, remove batteries from remote controls and toys, and avoid storing food, plants, liquids and flammable items, which are not suitable for a warehouse. Keep a copy of the packing list with you, take photographs of expensive furniture and electronics before they are packed, and keep your documents, jewellery and cash with you instead of storing them. If you are storing for a long time, ask us whether the goods should be inspected at fixed intervals.
